Frequently Asked Questions:
What kind of clothes do I need to wear?
Great question. Casual clothes are fine, be comfortable. We know "...man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart..." There may be occasions where you want to dress up and that is strictly up to you.
We're exploring Worship Options--where do we start?
Our Sunday Morning Worship begins at 10:30 am --Come to the North Main Entrance and there will be people to meet you and direct you to the Sanctuary, Nursery or even Restrooms. We want your first experience to be pleasant and rewarding not scary and confusing. We do have a Children's Church for kids as young as three up to age 11. They'll have their own Music time and learn the Bible through age-level stories and activities. Also please feel free to call the Church Office anytime (435)789-3113
I understand you are a Pentecostal Church. What kind of Worship Experience can we, as a family, expect?
Another great question. You can expect lively, but heart-felt music. We do have a Worship Team that leads the service. You'll be made aware of Church events through our written Bulletin and the Projection Screens on the front of the platform. During the singing some will sing quietly, some more enthusiastically, but all will be "decent and in order." We express our worship at times with hands raised, or sometimes in times of awesome silence as we truly believe, in Faith, that God honors us with His Presence as we Lift the Name of Jesus up in song and testimony.
There will be opportunity to give to God financially-- an offering will be received. Then we generally will move to the Ministry of God's Word. As our Pastor speaks many of the points of his message will be projected on the screens in front to help illustrate the Truth.
Finally, we usually end with giving people a chance to respond to what God is speaking to their heart about. We have trained Prayer and Altar workers who will pray with and for you at the front of the Church. All of this is done discretely without fanfare, but with sincere hearts of caring how you're doing in your life. That's it.

How is my local church affiliated with the Assemblies of God?
Within the fellowship of the Assemblies of God there are two classifications of churches - General Council affiliated churches and district affiliated churches. General Council affiliated churches enjoy full autonomy, having developed to the point of where they are self-governing and self-supporting. These fundamental principles have been catalysts for growth in the Fellowship. District affiliated churches are those which have not yet developed to the point where they qualify for full autonomy. All assemblies are required to adhere to the Statement of Fundamental Truths and a biblical pattern of conduct. Learn More
What distinguishes the Assemblies of God from other Christian groups?
The Assemblies of God is an evangelic protestant fellowship that believes God exists in three persons -- the Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. The most definitive identification of the Assemblies of God is Pentecostal. Just as it was founded in 1914, the Fellowship remains a full gospel church—one where the fullness of the Holy Spirit is welcomed, nurtured, and taught. This includes speaking in tongues as the initial evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Other manifestations of the Holy Spirit embraced by the church include: messages in tongues with interpretations, prophecies, word of knowledge, and the complete gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit as indicated in the Bible. Among Pentecostal churches—the Assemblies of God is largest worldwide with over 52 million constituents.
